I’m afraid to speak or move for fear that all this wonderful beauty will just vanish…like a BROKEN SILENCE. (Anne in Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel)
Welcome to my blog!
I am Lisa: former CPA, now a stay-at-home Mom and (for now) a homeschooler. I minored in writing in college and always wished I’d majored in it. As I near the dreaded “middle-age”, I am realizing that I’d better stop regretting what I haven’t done and just start doing what I want to do. So I’m going to write here at Broken Silence and hopefully I’ll get better and better at it. I’ve got lots of obstacles to overcome, not the least of which are my introverted personality which makes me tend to want to remain anonymous, time constraints, and the fact that I haven’t had much intellectual stimulation or adult conversation in the past five or six years.
I live in the Pacific Northwest, my husband is Tim (a software engineering manager), and I have two occasionally-delightful children named Kendall (9) and Evan (7).
I’ll blog about things that interest me which may include, in no particular order: Food, God, church, family, homeschool, health and nutrition, theology, getting organized, what I’m reading…hopefully, you’ll find something here that also interests you! Disclaimer (because every good blog needs at least one): I don’t purport to be an expert on any of these topics.
As Anne would say, “I know I chatter on far too much…but if you only knew how many things I want to say and don’t. Give me some credit.”
Happy reading!
Philippians 4:8 “…whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”

Love your Anne quotes. I was wondering where the blog name came from. =) And by the way, unlike Anne, I don’t think you are ever likely to be accused of “chattering on far too much”. Even on the internet…

Anne has to be one of my favourite characters of all time! Looking forward to reading more of your blog – I popped over here at Loraena’s suggestion.

Hi,
I am Joanna Weaver’s assistant. I came across your blog while searching for something else.
I loved your post about Having a Mary Heart. I’m putting together a blog tour for Joanna’s Having a Mary Spirit later this fall…would you be interested in participating?
I also represent other authors that I do book tours for Susan May Warren, Tricia Goyer, Rachel Hauck, Mary Byers, and more.
If you’re interested let me know…I’ll send you more info.
Thanks in advance for your time and consideration!
